We’re discovering so many hidden spots around the southern end of the Central Coast. From isolated Maitland Bay to portrait sessions at Little Beach, to the cliff edges over Pearl, so beautiful and picturesque. Here’s Vic and Rylan at the top of Bouddi National Park overlooking Lion Island and Sydney’s Palm Beach in the background. We can’t wait to do more engagement shoots this year; we’ve got an endless supply of breathtaking landscapes to photograph. So if you’re keen for a little bush walking for your engagement photos make sure to give us a call.
Central Coast Wedding Photography – Destination wedding of Vanessa and Jaime in Fiji
At Coast Wedding Photography, we love traveling outside the Central Coast to shoot weddings… we especially love traveling overseas to shoot too! Jaime and Vanessa exchanged vows by the ocean, in the shade of palms trees in gorgeous tropical Fiji. Surrounded by close friends and family, this intimate occasion was a truly beautiful one. And a great excuse for a holiday too! Everyone was in good spirits, relaxed and sun kissed and we were very tempted to purposely miss our flight back to the Central Coast! Here is their wedding day story captured behind our lens. Enjoy and BULA!
Central Coast Wedding Photography – Engagement shoot with Sakshi and Gerrard
We met Sakshi and Jannan on an unusually cool and wet Sydney Summer day. In this type of weather we’d typically expect quite dark images however their spirit, enthusiasm and Sakshi’s beautiful traditional Indian saris really took centre stage and made this shoot a truly incredible one! The rain did not dampen their spirits in the slightest for their engagement shoot and we had an absolute ball. We now can not wait for their wedding day because if this is anything to go by we know it’s going to be one amazing and fun event. This Sydney engagement shoot was taken at Clifton Gardens and we had it all to ourselves xo. Their images were shot for our dear friends at MTW Productions https://www.mtwproduction.com.au/

Central Coast girl meets Korean boy in Sydney who now reside in Singapore. With already having had celebrations in both Korean and Singapore, Simone and Bryan decided on a relaxed and intimate celebration at Shelly Beach Golf Club, Central Coast with family and close friends. Shelly Beach Golf Club, Central Coast provided for a stunning beach backdrop after a fun wedding preshoot at the iconic Sydney Harbour 4 days prior. Thank you Simone and Bryan for having us and we’ll see you in Singapore… or Korea or back on the Central Coast!

Central Coast Wedding Photography – Eshoot with Hong and Steve
Here is something different on our Central Coast wedding photography blog. We shot these two beautiful humans at Eveleigh inner Sydney City. The scenery is slightly different then the greenery and ocean blues abundant in the Central Coast. Nevertheless it was awesome being amongst urban landscape, fitting for these two city folk. Here are just a few photos we captured for them…

Tuscany Wine Estate Polkolbin Wedding: A Hunter Valley Wedding of Catherine and Petar
We had the privilege to photograph the beautiful wedding of a very old friend of mine at the Tuscany Wine Estate Polkolbin, Hunter Valley. The hunter Valley was the perfect location for these two love birds providing the perfect backdrop for their wedding day, and although it was partly cloudy with a bit of rain throughout the Hunter Valley, that never deterred them to enjoy their wedding day at the Tuscany Wine Estate Polkolbin, Hunter Valley. Luckily for us their whole day was inside of the Tuscany Wine Estate Polkolbin, Hunter Valley and we had no issues travelling around, only focusing on what mattered; capturing their special wedding day. Here are a few photos we got for them at their wedding at the Tuscany Wine Estate Polkolbin, in the Hunter Valley.
Bells at Killcare Wedding of Michelle and John
Bells at Killcare is a beautiful hidden gem here in the Central Coast of New South Wales. We thought we’d share this beautiful wedding of Michelle and John shot over a year ago now, back when we first moved to the central coast. Stepping foot at Bells at Killcare and photographing this beautiful wedding sure did excite us about photographing breathtaking weddings throughout the central coast. Bells at Killcare did not disappoint. Located at the backdrop of Boudii National Park, this elegant chic boutique resort provided the perfect setting for Michelle and Johns beautiful wedding, a wedding that compliments stunning landscapes here on the central coast. We have a few weddings now lined up at Bells at Killcare next year as well as Somersby weddings and Hunter Valley weddings. We can’t wait to be a part of it all.
Michelle and John spent a lovely afternoon with family and friends, celebrating their wedding ceremony on the lawn at Bells at Killcare. Along with their entourage, we walked around the grounds of Bells at Killcare before celebrating the night away near the restaurant at Bells. Stunning wedding we wont forget and it is always a privilege meeting such beautiful kind loving people.

Central Coast Family portrait and wedding photographer. When is the best time to take family photos?
Although it’s getting real cold and often windy outside (which of course is not the ideal weather to take family portraits) I thought I’d point out that in real fact, it’s the best time to be thinking about taking family portraits here on the Central Coast. I’d like to point out a few things to why this may be so:
Overcast days
Contrary to the belief, a warm sunny day, particularly in midday is not the ideal light to take quality timeless portraits of you and your family. Not only will it be bright (forcing you to squint) it can get hella uncomfortable as you begin to heat up under the sun. An overcast day however will ‘soften’ the light that enters the atmosphere, and without getting to technical, the portrait result often equals to glowing soft skin and timeless photographs. Overcast days might suck if you were expecting sun filled warmth to compliment your images, but don’t be fooled, we have captured some amazing photographs all thanks to an overcast sky.
Its cold, no one is around.
As a wedding and portrait photographer in the central coast, we often get asked to take photos at the beach or at the local park. Although there is nothing wrong with this, in the summer time it can be a pain in the backside. Often families like timeless images of their families in what appears to be an isolated setting, there is nothing timeless about bikini clad beach goers in their photos. In the summertime yes it’s pretty hard to avoid, but in the wintertime it is a different story. Running around at the park and beach is not that problematic.
Dress to impress
Taking family portraits during the winter also means everyone can dress up. There is no doubt that we love winter because of warm cuddles and an opportunity to be bold and proclaim our fashion sense to friends and family. In the summertime, dressing up is just not an option, as generally you want to dress down. Nothing timeless about singlets, stubbies and slippers.
More time
As we are predominantly wedding photographers, we photograph most weddings during the warmer months (and the months leading to the warmer months anyway) During winter our wedding numbers dramatically drop. Organizing portraits during summer sometimes means working around our schedule. Where as in the colder months, you can be assured that we will work around yours. This allows flexibility and allows more time for us to enjoy taking timeless portraits for your family without having to be somewhere else.
So if you’ve ever wondered when the best time to take family photos is, the answer is anytime! Rain may play a role of when, but regardless the season, portraits can always be taken of you and your family. Here are just some we’ve taken during the colder months…
Hunter Valley Wedding – Chantal and Daniels Wedding at Peterson House Hunter Valley
We first met the lovely Chantal when she was a bridesmaid to her best friend Suzie, a wedding we photographed over 3 years ago in tropical north Queensland where we use to live. How time flies, and now it was Chantal’s turn to tie the knot. Set among the beautiful foothills of the Hunter Valley, we spent a perfect day with Chantal and Daniel, celebrating their wedding day at Petersons House. Among their family and friends, they exchanged their vows and proclaimed their love to each other for life (ahh!) The Hunter Valley did not disappoint and provided the perfect backdrop to their intimate wedding filled with laughter and tears of joy! Congratulations and cheers to such a wonderful couple!
