Mt Ettalong Photographer – Engagement shoot of Alyssa and Matthew

August 16, 2022 by Jaypee Abraham

Its only been two months since we last blogged but feels like forever ago! We’ve been enjoying our little Winter pause on weddings however first wedding back for the season is this Saturday and we’re pumped. Though the wedding side of things has been quiet, we have been busy shooting lots of beautiful families and couples. This particular shoot was a lovely Saturday afternoon spent with Alyssa and Matthew at Mt Ettalong who will be getting married in October. It was the perfect Saturday afternoon at Mt Ettalong. That Winter golden glow is just magic at Mt Ettalong. We made very good use of golden hour up at the lookout at Mt Ettalong. Alyssa and Matthew decided to have a little glass of sparkling, chocolate and strawberries overlooking the stunning Central Coast at Mt Ettalong. And then the rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying that glorious light.

If you’re deciding whether or not you should have an engagement shoot, our answer is always yes! There are so many reasons why an engagement shoot is a great idea. Firstly, it is a great way to get comfy in front of the camera. Most people aren’t used to being followed and directed all day with a large lens all day. Having an engagement shoot will calm those nerves and allow you to feel what it’s like to be in front of the camera. Secondly, it’s a great way to get to your know your photography team. Although all our shooters are super friendly and all our couples we meet on the day and have a blast, sometimes it is nice to familiarise yourselves with the team who will be spending the entire day with you. Thirdly, an engagement shoot is a great idea to not waste your makeup trial! When you get all dolled up it’s almost essential to take photos. Another reason you may want to have an engagement shoot is for the fur babies. Often our fur babies don’t attend weddings, but having them at the engagement shoot is a great way to include your fur baby so they aren’t missing out completely. Plus who doesn’t want professional images with their fur baby to cherish forever! Lastly, your engagement images can be used at your wedding or on the lead up to the big day. You may want to make save the date cards, use images for annoucements on social media, have your guests sign a special photobook or enlargement on the wedding night, etc.

If these reasons have sealed the deal for you on having an engagement shoot, we’d love to hear from you! From the end of this month onwards, we will be available for engagement shoots on weekdays and some Sundays. Get in touch now info@coastweddingphotography.com.au

Kantara House Central Coast NSW Wedding Photography – Wedding of Sally and Matais

March 22, 2022 by Jaypee Abraham

We had a long haul of overcast and rainy days over the past month or so on the Central Coast NSW but we aren’t complaining. The even light an overcast day brings at Kantara House Central Coast NSW weddings is just as gorgeous as any other day, plus the gardens are looking so lush and green now! We met Sally and Matais last year at Bouddu National Park for their engagement shoot, just a little practice run before the big day. Super breezy shoot for us, so when Sally and Matais’ big day at Kantara House arrived, which is literally down the road for us so big plus, we were so excited to see them tie the knot. The forecast for the week of Sally and Matais wedding was rain, rain, and more rain at Kantara House Central Coast NSW. However, the weather gods heard our calls and although there were little moments of drizzle, for the most part, we enjoyed the gardens to their full capacity! We started off the morning in the gorgeous, country-white bridal suite at Kantara House Central Coast NSW with the girls. The girls were sipping on their sparkling and finishing up their hair and makeup in their gowns and fluffy slippers. Lots of fun and laughter with the girls before the father of the bride arrived for an emotional greeting at Kantara House Central Coast NSW, always such a beautiful moment and I’d be lying if I told you my eyes didn’t swell up a little during post-production! As always, time wasn’t on our side at Kantara House Central Coast NSW and the boys had arrived at Kantara House Central Coast NSW. Looking dapper in their navy suits, we took a few portraits on the boys outside the Charlotte Chapel Kantara House Central Coast NSW before they headed inside to wait for the bride, Sally. The ceremony in the Charlotte Chapel Kantara House Central Coast NSW was a beautiful service surrounded by their closest friends and family and once Sally and Matais exchanged vows, their guests enjoyed some sparkling and ice cream, care of Mr Goaty, at Kantara House Central Coast NSW whilst the bridal party took a stroll around the property of Kantara House Central Coast NSW. So many little hidden garden gems around Kantara House Central Coast NSW, we almost always feel like we could shoot all afternoon however it would be rude of us to keep the newlyweds from their guests eagerly waiting for the party to start at the reception at Kantara House Central Coast NSW. As always the staff at Kantara House Central Coast NSW put on amazing food and beverages (and as suppliers we always get fed well too so major bonus for us!), and once the formalities had been complete, everyone was ready to hit the dance floor at Kantara House Central Coast NSW, young and old didn’t hold back on the dance moves and even got some random pushups on the dance floor too! Good times at Kantara House Central Coast NSW, one that will stick around in the memory bank for quite some time.

Bimbadgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley Wedding Photography – Wedding of Renee and Brendan

March 14, 2022 by Jaypee Abraham

We were so excited to blog this wedding shot at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley and Talits Estate Vineyard. Although not our first time shooting at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley, it is always such a treat shooting at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley. Such an elegant, country vibe and even though it was a wet overcast day, the stormy clouds provided a backdrop that set a romantic mood for the day. We started our day with the boys at the Hunter Valley where they were taking their time getting ready, enjoying a few beers before the day’s festivities really kicked off. Looking smart in their suits, the boys cleaned up well so that was our cue to head on over to the girls at Talits Estate Vineyard getting ready before heading over the Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley. First time shooting at Talits Estate Vineyard and when we arrived there, our jaws literally dropped to the floor. What a stunning property Talits Estate Vineyard is. So many gorgeous little quaint spots to shoot at from the bathroom to the facade. We could shoot at Talits Estate Vineyard all day! Once the girls where ready, it was time for us and the gang to make our way from Talits Estate Vineyard to Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley. Renee and Brendan exchanged vows at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley amongst friends and family and though we could see the rain in the distance over the mountains, the rain held off over our couple and before we knew it, these two beautiful humans were announced husband and wife at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley. With rolling hills, long grass, storm clouds and a gentle breeze, we did not have to venture far for the perfect backdrop. We had everything we needed right at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley. After a quick 90 minute bridal shoot it was time to head back to Renee and Brendan’s guests to enjoy some good food and company at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley. The long dining tables and country style set up were the perfect settings at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley and while guests and the bridal party enjoyed great food and wine, the couple enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife, lit up with fireworks and it wasn’t too long before the crowd joined the couple on the dance floor at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley where most of them stayed until the end of the night at Bimbandgen Palmers Lane Hunter Valley. Just before packing up after a long, yet fun shoot, guests farewelled the newlyweds with sparklers and well wishes before heading back to their Hunter Valley retreats to sleep it off! Congratulations again Renee and Brendan!

Whale Beach Wedding Photographer – Wedding of Stephanie & Tyrone

February 4, 2022 by Jaypee Abraham

We love the Northern Beaches of Sydney and it’s not an area we often visit, so when we get the occasional wedding there, it’s always such a novelty going there. Reminds us of the Central Coast but just a little bit more fancy! And what a spot Whale Beach is – such a beautiful part of the world. We started off the day with the boys getting ready. And being Italian, of course Tyrone was surrounded by A LOT of family which of course added to the excitement of the day ahead. After a full family portrait sesson, we made our way over to girls who were having a great time getting ready for the day. Surrounded by her bridesmaids and mother, Stephanie looked stunning and we were ready to make our way over to the church in Avalon Beach. As Stephanie walked down the aisle with her mother, we could see Tyrone holding back the tears and it was just such a special service that was enjoyed by all of their most loved family and friends. After lots of hugs and kisses, we didn’t have a lot of time to stop for family photos and we drove over to Whale Beach to get in a few quick shots of the newly weds. We didn’t have long before we had to make our way back to Moby Dicks where guests were waiting for the party to start. And the party well and truly got underway with the arrivals of our bride and groom. Everyone was ready to hit the dance floor, luckily for us we caught a small break in between formalities and the dancefloor and snuck the couple out for a few quick snaps whilst we had some beautifully balanced light at Moby Dicks Whale Beach. However, it wasn’t long before guests noticed their absence and joined in the photos, which worked out well considering we bolted right after the ceremony before leaving for Whale Beach NSW. The rest of the night was enjoyed by all on the dance floor, enjoying great wine and company at Moby Dicks Whale Beach, and by night’s end, the sparklers created a beautiful send-off for Steph and Tyrone at Moby Dicks Whale Beach. What a perfect day!

Avoca Beach House Wedding – Wedding of Maddie and Ethan

January 6, 2022 by Jaypee Abraham

Lovely young couple Maddie and Ethan celebrated their wedding among family and friends recently on the Central Coast NSW at the Avoca Beach House. We started the day with Ethan at his house in Bensville, not far from home which is always handy. Ethan and his family were super relaxed getting ready for their Avoca Beach House Wedding at home and with a few minutes to spare we were able to get a couple of shots along the liquidambar trees in Bensville near the horse stables. We then made our way over to the girls a short ride down the road to Empire Bay where they were happily getting ready for the day ahead. Although Maddie and Ethan didn’t have a bridal party, their group of friends were there enjoying the morning with the newlyweds to be for their special day. Once the girls had finished getting their hair and makeup complete we took a few quick portraits of Maddie looking absolutely stunning in her gown before Maddie and her father made their way over to the ceremony before their Avoca Beach House Wedding. The ceremony took place at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Bensville with immediate family only, however, the rest of their dearest friends and family did not miss out. Thanks to zoom, the ceremony was enjoyed by all and it was clear that Maddie and Ethan were not phased at all by this and looked as joyful as any bride and groom would be on their wedding day at Avoca Beach House Wedding. Once the ceremony was complete we headed back to the liquidambar lane and the happy couple were greeted (in person) with all their most loved family and friends and after some group photos, we took the newlyweds off to get some photos of their first moments as husband and wife before heading to Avoca Beach House Wedding. After a couple of garden shots (thanks wet Summer for the lush greens this time of year!), we made our way up to Bouddi National Park with some friends and enjoyed the beautiful scenery in between sips of sparkling and banter between great friends. Before too long we released we had to make our way back down to the Avoca Beach House Wedding where the rest of Maddie and Ethans guests were waiting. A few quick shots amongst the rocks is a must at Avoca Beach and then the couple were ready to celebrate the night away at the Avoca Beach House.

Clareville Kiosk Wedding – Wedding of Abby & Jon

December 28, 2021 by Jaypee Abraham

Its been a while since we had a shoot outside of the Central Coast and although we definitely are not complaining, it was such a treat venturing outside of the Central Coast to shoot Abby and Jon’s wedding at Clareville Kiosk on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The day began on Sydney’s Northern Beaches when we met up with Abby and some of her girlfriends and family on Sydney’s Northern Beaches before heading over to Clareville Kiosk, Northern Beaches. Although Abby and Jon didn’t have a bridal party for their Clareville Kiosk, Northern Beaches Wedding, it was a cruisey morning getting ready with girlfriends and champagne. When we were all ready for our Clareville Kiosk, Northern Beaches Wedding, the bride made her way over to Clareville Beach, Northern Beaches where Jon and their guests eagerly awaited her arrival at Clareville Beach, Northern Beaches. Accompanied by her father and flower girls, Abby, our elegant bride, met her groom at the waterfront alter at Clareville Beach, Northern Beaches. Once the intimate ceremony was complete at Clareville Beach, Northern Beaches, the newly weds went for a little stroll around this gorgeous part of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Spoilt with lush Australian bush and waterfront, we definitely were not short of variety. Although it was not a typical Australian Summers day, the overcast day provided beautiful even light with a gentle cool breeze in between short moments of sprinkling clouds at Clareville Beach, Northern Beaches. As the afternoon came to an end, it was time for us to head back to the guests at Clareville Kiosk, Northern Beaches. Another first for us shooting at Clareville Kiosk, Northern Beaches, a quant and inviting space at Clareville Beach, Northern Beaches. The casual yet classy venue was the perfect spot for Abby and Jon who sat amongst guests and enjoyed the food and wine thoughtfully prepared by the staff at Clareville Kiosk, Northern Beaches. Though it was our first time shooting at Clareville Kiosk, Northern Beaches, we certainly hope that it is not our last! Thank you again for choosing us to shoot this most special day in your lives.

Bellbird Gardens Terrigal Wedding Photographer – Wedding of Paige and Joe

December 16, 2021 by Jaypee Abraham

Another first for us and this time it was shooting at Bellbird Gardens Terrigal. As always we are always super excited to be shooting in new venues like Bellbird Gardens Terrigal but so exciting that Bellbird Gardens Terrigal is so close to home! We started the day off before heading to Bellbird Gardens Terrigal with Joe and the boys at Avoca Beach at the parent’s house. Of course, when we arrived and met this group of blokes, we knew that we would have a breezy shoot (if the rain held out) because these lads were ready to party. A few beers and photos later, we made our way over the to girl at Kincumber at the couple’s house. The girls were enjoying some sparkling, getting ready with their little sausage dog and just taking in the moments as they came before heading off to Bellbird Gardens Terrigal. We managed to get some photos outside before the rain and were crossing fingers and toes tightly that the outdoor ceremony at Bellbird Gardens Terrigal would go ahead. Well the weather Gods were on our side and aside from a bit of mud, the ceremony was enjoyed by friends and family at Bellbird Gardens Terrigal. It was a beautiful ceremony and from beginning to end Paige just had the biggest, most gorgeous smile and you could just feel the happy energy radiating. Joe certainly did well! After the ceremony at Bellbird Gardens Terrigal, we decided to stick around Bellbird Gardens Terrigal instead of venturing far just in case the rain came back and to be perfectly honest we really had no need to leave Bellbird Gardens Terrigal. With so many hidden gems and lush gardens, it really was a photographer’s dream and we actually count ourselves lucky for the overcast day which gave beautiful even light throughout the entire day at Bellbird Gardens Terrigal. When we headed back to the marquee at Bellbird Gardens Terrigal the party had well and truly begun. It was like this lot hadn’t partied in decades and everyone was just up for a good time at Bellbird Gardens Terrigal. Drinks free-flowing all night, there would have been a lot of sore heads the following morning but definitely well worth it! Thanks again for having us Paige and Joe!

Kalinya Gardens Wedding – Priyanka & Shay

March 29, 2019 by Jaypee Abraham

We were super excited to be shooting this wedding as we absolutely love exploring wedding venues that we haven’t shot at yet. And Kalinya Gardens did not disappoint at all. We met both the bride and the groom at Kalinya Gardens where these two gorgeous humans were getting ready with their loved ones. It wasn’t long until it was time for the ceremony at Kalinya Gardens, and this daytime ceremony at Kalinya Gardens was delightful in the warm Autumn sun. Shortly following the ceremony at Kalinya Gardens, we went for a relaxed stroll around Kalinya Gardens where there were so many gorgeous spots to shoot and offered so much variety – a photographers dream really! It was then time for Shay and Pri to head back to there guests on the deck on the gorgeous house on the property where we enjoyed the sunny afternoon with speeches, cake and champagne.

The Stables of Somersby Wedding – Wedding of Kim and Steve

January 2, 2019 by Jaypee Abraham

First blog for 2019! We have been busting to blog Kim and Steve’s The Stables of Somersby wedding. Our first time shooting here at The Stables of Somersby and omg, what a venue!!
We started off our day at a homely Terrigal Air Bnb sipping scotch whisky and suiting up in bow ties and suspenders shortly before heading over to catch up with the girls at the The Stables of Somersby. The girls were busy getting ready at The Stables of Somersby in the very rustlcly sheik barn accommodation conveniently located upstairs to where the entire day’s celebrations were to be held. After a few champagnes and tears from mum and dad (and the girls) we were ready to head down stairs at The Stables of Somersby to where Steve and the guests eagerly await.
A beautiful ceremony led by Steve and Kim’s good friend at The Stables of Somersby was enjoyed by family and close friends before they head off for canapés, and the bridal party set off by foot for some photos at The Stables of Somersby.
As the afternoon came to an end and the rain, that held off all day, arrived it was time to head inside to start the party at The Stables of Somersby! A night of dancing, over flowing mismatched glasses and Mexican food truck food was enjoyed well into the night. Lots of sore heads to be expected the morning after… but definitely worth it!
